Transformer tests are
in divided up into three classifications:
Routine, Design and Prototype
tests.
The following Routine tests are made on
all Dry Type and Liquid Immersed Transformers:
1. Visual
2. Ratio
3. Polarity and Phase Relations
4. No-load Losses and Excitation Current
5. Applied and Induced Potential Dielectric
Test
The following Design test are made on a
sufficient number of transformers to insure uniform results:
1. Impedance Voltage
2. Load Losses
3. Impulse Dielectric
4. Audible Sound level
5. Resistance Measurements
6. Temperature Rise
The following Prototype test are made to
ensure basic designs and materials of quality:
1. Short-Circuit Capability
2. Insulation System
3. Weather Classification

C Transformer sold by us is free from defects in material
and workmanship, and that properly used it will perform
in full accordance with applicable specifications. Any
transformer or component found within two years from date
of shipment not to meet these standards will upon return
to factory, transportation charges prepaid, be repaired
or, at our option, replaced without charge. |
