| AEC offers a complete line, from 10 to
10000 kVA & up to 69000 Volts, Single & Three
Phase, 65º C or 55º C winding temperature rise,
60 Hz or 50 Hz for exportation. Insulation temperature
system is 105º C. We manufacture all type of transformer
styles, that includes but not limited to: Pole Mounted,
Substation, Platform, and Pad Mounted Compartmental. Custom
built Retrofit units for special replacement of old unreliable
substation transformers. Emergency Repairs and have available
with short lead time pole mounted remanufactured transformers. |
| The Coils are wound with soft, annealed
Copper Wire that has been drawn through smoothing dies
by the manufacturer. The wire insulation is half-lapped
Nomex paper, or Polythermetex GP-200, as is appropriate
for the wire size and voltages. Barrier and layer insulations
are thermally upgraded, 100% electrical Kraft paper. Structural
materials included vulcanized fiber, rigid laminates and
electrical grade hard wood. The windings are designed
to avoid unbalanced electro-magnetic forces, enabling
them to withstand the mechanical forces of a short circuit
with full load voltage applied. The entire core and coil
assembly is oven dried completely before tanking and oil
filling. |
| Heavy gauge steel of high quality is used
in fabrication of the tanks and compartments, and the
tank is further braced to withstand a pressure of 7 psig
without permanent distortion. Sealed tank construction
is used, with welded main cover. There is access through
a hand hole. A resealing pressure relief valve, with a
cranking pressure of 10 psig is provided. NEMA grounding
pads are provided in both compartments, and there are
provisions for anchoring the tanks and compartments. |
